How a shoot runs
We start with a creative call to agree deliverables, formats and a shot list. On the day I work to that list first, then use the remaining time on supporting and lifestyle frames. You can direct remotely or review tethered on site.
Turnaround
Editing is included in every rate, and you'll get online previews to choose from. Standard turnaround is five working days, with faster options down to 48 hours available on request. Same-day web-resolution selects can be arranged when you have a launch to hit.
Usage rights and licensing
Every shoot includes a written licence covering web and social use, with print usage included on the longer sessions. Extended terms, exclusivity and buyouts can be quoted separately — just say what you need on the creative call.

Questions people ask
How long does it take to get the images?+
Standard turnaround is five working days from the shoot. Faster options down to 48 hours can be arranged when you book, and if you're up against a launch deadline, same-day web-resolution selects are available on request. For news or publishing deadlines, immediate image release is also possible for a small additional fee.
Do we need to credit you if images are used in the press, and can we buy full copyright?+
Copyright is retained by default, with your package including a licence to use the images as agreed (see Usage rights and licensing above) — this covers your own use free of any extra charge. If an image is sent to national media or press, a photo credit is required. If you'd rather own the images outright, a full copyright buyout can also be purchased separately.
How many images will we receive?+
This varies by shoot and package — we'll agree an approximate number on the pre-shoot call based on your shot list, so there are no surprises on delivery.
Can you match our brand's existing visual style or guidelines?+
Yes — send over your brand guidelines, mood board, or existing photography on the creative call, and I'll shoot and edit to match your existing look rather than starting from scratch.
Do you offer ongoing or retainer photography for regular content needs?+
Yes, several clients book me on a recurring basis for seasonal menus, new stock, or regular social content — get in touch and we can agree a schedule that suits.
Can you shoot outside normal business hours?+
Of course — early mornings before opening, evenings after close, or weekends are all common for commercial shoots, especially for hospitality clients who need the space empty.
Do you invoice, and what are your payment terms?+
Yes, all commercial work is invoiced — standard terms are 50% on booking and the remainder on delivery, with formal invoices for your records.
“The turnaround was faster than we expected, and the shots looked professional straight out of the gate — it genuinely helped our new packaging launch land well on social media.”
