Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. Overview

Newport Photo Company takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data I collect when you use this website, why I collect it, and how I keep it secure.

I only collect information that is necessary to respond to enquiries, manage bookings, and understand how visitors use the site.

2. What information I collect

Booking and contact forms

When you submit a booking enquiry or contact message, I collect the details you provide. This typically includes:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if you choose to provide it)
  • Event type, preferred date, location and package details
  • Budget range (optional)
  • Your message

You do not need to create an account to use these forms.

Website analytics

I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with the site — for example, which pages are viewed, how people navigate through the portfolio, and whether booking or contact forms are completed.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies on this domain and collects data such as your device type, browser, approximate location, and the pages you visit. It does not give me access to personally identifiable information like your name or email address unless you later submit a form.

3. How form submissions are used and stored

Your enquiry is sent securely to the site backend and stored in a protected database so I can respond to you. It is also used to:

  • Reply to your question or booking request
  • Prepare a quote or proposal for your shoot
  • Keep a record of our conversation for as long as needed to provide the service

After you submit a form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email, and I will receive a notification. These emails are sent through a managed email service using the verified sender domain notify.newportphotocompany.com.

I keep enquiry records for up to 12 months after the last contact, or until a completed shoot has been fully delivered and any follow-up finished, whichever is longer. After that, the data is deleted. You can also ask me to delete your information earlier at any time.

4. Cookies and tracking

This site uses a small number of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to work correctly, such as maintaining your session while a form is processed.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure anonymous site usage, such as page views, portfolio clicks and successful form submissions.

I do not use advertising or third-party marketing cookies, and I do not sell your browsing data.

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Who I share data with

I do not sell or rent your personal information. I only share it with trusted service providers who help run this website and handle enquiries:

  • Lovable Cloud — hosts the website and provides the database used to store form submissions.
  • Google — processes anonymous analytics data through Google Analytics 4.
  • Lovable Email — sends the confirmation and notification emails when you submit a form.

These providers are contractually bound to handle data securely and only use it for the services they provide to me.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to how your data is used
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, or if you have questions about this policy, please get in touch through the contact form.

7. Keeping data secure

The website and its backend are hosted on secure infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Form submissions are encrypted in transit, stored in a database protected by authentication and access controls, and only accessed by me to respond to enquiries.

8. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time as the website or services change. Any significant changes will be reflected on this page, and the "last updated" date at the top will be revised.
