Which day is right for you?
Full wedding
The whole day, start to finish — morning prep through the last dance.
Elopement or small ceremony
Just as much care and coverage, sized to a smaller, quieter day.
Social event
Christenings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, corporate parties — usually three to five hours. Get in touch and we'll size it to the occasion.
Coverage style
Mostly unposed. I photograph preparation, ceremony, speeches and the first hours of the party as they happen, using natural light wherever possible. The only structured part is a short window for family groups and twenty minutes with the two of you — usually near sunset.
What a typical day looks like
I arrive during the last hour of preparation, cover the ceremony from two positions, work through drinks and the meal quietly, then run family groups from a list we agree beforehand. Evening coverage typically runs through the first dance and beyond, as each wedding is tailored and unique.
After the day
A preview set of around 30 images arrives within 72 hours, followed by your full edited gallery in less than 8 weeks — delivered as a private online gallery with full-resolution downloads and a personal print licence.

Questions people ask
How much is the deposit to book?+
A 25% deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due one month before the ceremony.
How far in advance should we book?+
Popular dates, especially summer weekends, can book up 12 months or more ahead — if you have a date in mind, it's worth getting in touch early rather than waiting.
What happens if it rains?+
Welsh weather is unpredictable and we plan for it — portraits move to a covered spot or indoors, and the rest of the day is covered exactly the same either way.
Do you travel outside Newport, Cwmbran and Cardiff?+
Yes — I cover weddings across South Wales and beyond. Travel further afield may include a small additional fee, which we'll agree upfront.
Have you shot at our venue before, or will you visit it in advance?+
If it's a venue I haven't shot at before, I'll always take a look in advance — either in person or through photos and a walkthrough with the venue — so there are no surprises on the day.
Do you offer a second shooter?+
Yes, available as an add-on for larger weddings or when you want coverage from two angles at once — just mention it when enquiring.
What's your backup plan if equipment fails or you're ill?+
I shoot with two of everything — cameras, lenses and flashes — plus dual memory cards in every camera, so a single piece of equipment failing never puts your coverage at risk. In the rare case of illness, I have a network of trusted photographers who can step in.
