Cardiff is one of the most rewarding cities in the UK to marry in — from grand castle backdrops and elegant city hotels to the light coming off Cardiff Bay. Wherever your day takes place, I photograph it the way it actually unfolds: unposed, unhurried, and true to the two of you.

I'm a documentary wedding photographer covering Cardiff and the wider South Wales region. My approach is simple — I hang back, watch how the day naturally flows, and capture the real moments as they happen, stepping in only when a group photo genuinely needs organising.

Why couples choose this approach

Documentary, not directed

No stiff line-ups or forced smiles. You'll be free to enjoy your day while I quietly capture it around you.

Experienced and accredited

A degree in photography, membership of the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers), and 250+ weddings photographed. Fully insured, with dual-card backup on every shoot and a second photographer available for larger days.

At ease with people

A former art teacher, I'm used to putting nervous people at ease and working warmly with guests of all ages — quietly, without ever taking over your day.

Cardiff venues & locations

Cardiff offers an incredible range of wedding settings, and I'd love to photograph your day at any of them — from the historic drama of Cardiff Castle and the grand civic elegance of Cardiff City Hall, to country-house celebrations at The Vale Resort or Hensol Castle, and waterfront light down at Cardiff Bay. And anywhere across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan besides. If you're still choosing a venue, I'm always happy to talk through locations and what works well for photography at different times of day.

Questions people ask

Do you cover weddings across Cardiff?+

Yes — I cover Cardiff and the surrounding areas as part of my South Wales coverage, and travel to Cardiff venues is included.

Do you know Cardiff wedding venues?+

Yes, I'm happy to talk through Cardiff venues and locations, and what works well for photography at different times of day. If you've not chosen a venue yet, I can help you think it through.

How far in advance should we book?+

Popular dates, especially summer weekends, can book up 12 months or more ahead — if you have a Cardiff date in mind, it's worth getting in touch early.

What happens if it rains?+

Welsh weather is unpredictable and we plan for it — portraits move to a covered spot or indoors, and the rest of the day is covered exactly the same either way.
